Our ethics policy is based on COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. We believe that publishing a peer-reviewed article is crucial for advancing knowledge and reflects the integrity of the authors and their supporting institutions.
As the publisher, IIPTI takes its role seriously, ensuring that all stages of the publication process are handled ethically. When misconduct is suspected, our editors and editorial board will follow COPE's best practices to investigate the claim fairly.
A submitted manuscript found to contain misconduct will be immediately rejected.
If a published article is found to contain misconduct, it will be retracted and the retraction will be linked to the original paper.
The corresponding author will be notified and asked to provide a detailed response to the allegations. If necessary, we may involve additional experts to assist in the review.
Our goal is to ensure the integrity of the academic record. We are committed to responding to concerns about scientific misconduct by taking necessary actions, including issuing corrections or retractions as needed.
The Journal of Management in Educational Practice is dedicated to upholding a high standard of research integrity. This section outlines the ethical responsibilities for all participants in the publication process.
Editors are responsible for the final publication decisions, guided by the paper's intellectual content and relevance to the journal's scope. They must act without bias toward the authors' background, including race, gender, or religion. All submitted manuscripts and their contents are considered confidential and must not be disclosed to anyone outside of the review process. Editors must also avoid using any unpublished material from a manuscript for their own research.
Reviewers play a vital role in the editorial process. They must:
Contribute to Decisions: Assist the editor in evaluating a manuscript's quality and help authors improve their work.
Act Promptly: Accept or decline a review invitation in a timely manner.
Maintain Confidentiality: Treat all manuscripts as confidential documents.
Be Objective: Provide objective and constructive feedback, avoiding personal criticism of the authors.
Acknowledge Sources: Inform the editor of any relevant published work that is not cited or any potential plagiarism.
Disclose Conflicts: Report any conflicts of interest that could bias their review.
Authors must ensure their submitted work adheres to the highest ethical standards. They are responsible for:
Reporting Standards: Presenting an accurate and objective account of their research, including providing raw data for review and ensuring data reproducibility.
Originality and Plagiarism: Confirming that their work is original and that all sources are properly cited.
Avoiding Redundancy: Refraining from submitting the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously.
Citing Sources: Giving proper credit for the work of others.
Authorship: Ensuring all individuals who made significant contributions are listed as authors and that all authors approve the final manuscript.
Disclosing Conflicts of Interest: Clearly stating any financial or personal conflicts that could influence the research.
Correcting Errors: Promptly notifying the journal if they discover significant errors in their published work.
Ethical Oversight: Obtaining and providing proof of ethical clearance for research involving human or animal subjects, hazardous materials, or confidential data.
The journal has clear procedures for handling complaints and appeals against any party involved in the publication process, following COPE guidelines. All complaints should be sent via email to the provided address. The journal's copyright policy and peer-review process are detailed on separate pages linked on the website.
